History of OCHIAI of Industrial Fasteners
Ochiai was founded in 1936 in Tokyo, Japan, as a tool & die shop but soon developed into a full-line stamper of specialty fasteners. Since incorporating in 1955, Ochiai has grown to be a global supplier with three manufacturing plants, ten sales branches, and over 500 employees worldwide.

With corporate sales approaching $90 million, our retaining rings and related metal fasteners are used in hundreds of applications throughout the automotive, electronic, appliance, office equipment, and machinery industries.

Ochiai has over 400,000 square feet of combined plant and office space and can offer complete in-house capability from die design and build to stamping, heat treating, plating, and packaging of a variety of fastener items.

Our product line of retaining rings, push nuts, spring pins, wave washers, lock nuts, clips and toothed washers are made to J.I.S. (metric) specifications and are available in various materials and surface treatments. Our innovative AUSTEMPERING technique improves performance in carbon spring steel rings and fasteners compared to the conventional oil-quench and temper heat treat process.
